#HerStory with Raveena Sethia

Raveena is an anti-trust lawyer at Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas, New Delhi. After completing her LL.M from University of Cambridge as a Justice Pratibha M. Singh and Trust Scholar, she secured a training contract with Herbert Smith Freehills LLP, London, but chose to come back and practice law in India. She is also a silver medalist from Jindal Global Law School. "I took the chance to study law at a relatively new university even though I had the option to join more reputed institutions. I made my selection based on the vast resources available, stellar faculty and model of education adopted. As a first generation lawyer, I was hesitant at first, but my concerns were put to rest with the opportunities that came my way over the years, which helped me realize that it was me who would chart the course of my career and make the most of what was on offer. Today, as I reflect on what seems like another era, I do not think I could have had better opportunities, professors and an overall law school experience than what I had. I value the way we were taught, more than what was taught; and I think that is what made all the difference."
